它们的惯用手段就是凭借着低录取标准、低毕业要求、缩短学习时长的方式，并声称无需出国，以远程网络授课的方式就能轻松获取海外文凭的宣传，吸引留学生前往学校并提供学费。

首先可以查看目标院校的官方网址，英国教育科研机构的专属域名是“.ac.uk”，如果发现官网挂着其他域名的网址，那很有可能就是一所“野鸡大学"。

其次可以在中国教育部涉外监管信息网查询该学校。
为了让留学生确定自己没有上“野鸡大学”，避免落入野鸡大学的套路，教育部的教育涉外监管信息网会定期更新认可的留学国家以及其院校名单。

查看英国Hedd官网
另外，还可以在英国Hedd网站进行查询，该网站于2011年推出，由英国高等教育资助委员会资助。
它使查询者能够验证候选人的学历或在英国认证大学或学院。这项服务的职责是保护英国大学，雇主和毕业生免受学位欺诈。
值得注意的是，Hedd网站认证的英国院校有471所，而教育部认可的仅有159所，所以留学生要进行对比鉴别，一定要确保自己上的学校是双方都认可的！
