STEM新增8大专业领域
美国大学一般会在规定的STEM类目里，将自己学校的个别专业操作申请为STEM专业，对应毕业生也将拥有12+24个月的三年OPT资格。
非STEM专业的学生只能申请到一年OPT，一年内如果无法抽中H-1B工签就必须离开美国。
此次STEM新政主要是增加新的专业领域，具体新增专业如下：
1、Landscape Architecture 景观建筑

3、Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering Technology/Technician 机电一体化、机器人与自动化工程技术/技术员
4、Composite Materials Technology/Technician 复合材料技术/技术员
5、Linguistics and Computer Science 语言和计算机科学
6、Developmental and Adolescent Psychology 发展心理学和青少年心理学
7、Geospatial Intelligence 地理空间情报
8、Demography and Population Studies 人口学与人口研究
